Getting to the Sagafjord Hotel, coming from Geirangerfjord, is half the fun. You’ll drive through the beautiful Norangsdalen, a very narrow and scenic valley before you arrive at Lekneset, where you can take the boat to Sæbø where the hotel is located. And the location is everything here, just across the Hjørundfjord, perhaps the most beautiful of them all. The hotel itself has some nice corners but is also a bit standard. The food, especially the breakfast is very good. The staff are friendly. But while having a drink on the terrace, the view will settle in your memory. For even better views you can hike Mount Saksa, starting from Urke, a short (boat)trip away.
